Chili Peppers is an authentic Mexican restaurant. We make old style, fresh Mexican food. We have salads, quesadillas (quesadillas with just cheese and fixings or quesadillas with meat). Meat options include: chicken, beef, pork, or seafood (swordfish, salmon, snapper, and shrimp). The meat can be used in tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos, and nachos. We also have breakfast, with great chorizo! We make our own omelettes and huevos rancheros. We have different varieties and specialties, such as chicken or beef chipotle. We make our own chipotle salsas in the restaurant as well, called Mama Concha Salsas. We have a sweet, hot, and smoky chipotle sauce. You can find the salsas on our website. Finally, we do catering for all of our Mexican dishes. We also cater steak, burgers, Italian, Chinese, seafood, and tamales. We make any dish to fit your needs!

Currently undergoing a remodel, but the food is amazing. My fiancee got the vegetarian tacos and after her first bite she said, "these are the best vegetarian tacos I've ever had!" I got the fajitas plate and was so satisfied after the meal. Delicious, fresh, friendly Mexican food

My favorite Mexican food restaurant in SLO. Great marinated meats and fresh ingredients at a fair price. Used to be rustic but have since have upgraded the inside and made improvements to the whole place.

I've been eating here since 1993, when I was three years old. I get the same thing every time: BBQ Chicken Burrito. My brother lives the Chile Verde just as much. This place is delicious and amazing. The portions are generous, the staff is like family, and it's some of my favorite food on Earth. Easy parking too!

My absolute favorite place to get a breakfast burrito in SLO plus you canΓ’β¬β’t really beat the 4.99$ deal (applies to breakfast items ordered before 11am).They call it a smaller burrito because you get to choose whether you want potatoes or rice&beans but donΓ’β¬β’t let that fool you because itΓ’β¬β’s a standard size breakfast burrito

My wife and I are digital nomads and stopped in San Luis Obispo on the way to San Francisco from LA. We stumbled on this restaurant and were blown away with the food! Fantastic authentic tacos. My wife had a chicken quesadilla and I had the TacoΓ’β¬β’s Al Pastor. We recommend both!Also their customer service was fantastic! Not only did they check to make sure the food was good but they also showed a genuine interest in us as humans and what we do. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by Chili Peppers

Always great food, and friendly people! They're currently renovating the interior and patio and it looks much better. Best part: 5 mins from SBP airport. Their mole and seafood is fresh and consistently amazing and Noah is always there to make you feel at home.

People must disregard reviews of "filthy or dirty" or any bad reviews as there is a new owner now and he is in process of cleaning inside/patio garden area. I thought they closed but they closed for a week as former owner died. It is still in the family. I have eaten at several places recently(Mexican and American)and no-one comes close. He made for me a burrito that I saw him cut the fresh vegis and cook them and add the toppings I wanted(all). I have been coming here for many years and it was very good before, I thought, but now it is excellent. I dont say this lightly or give reviews this good ever, but he is giving the place what it needs and I am sure the employees will follow suit. If you have'nt been here in a while or ever TRY IT. You wont regret it. Now with new look (still in progress)and new management I think this is the best place in town!

Good food, nice service, but they need to work on their professionalism a lot. They are one visit from the health department away from major trouble. Its very sad because this place used to be thriving years ago.

The new owner has really made some good changes! their costumer service is excellent! they treat everyone like family here, not to mention their excellent authentic Mexican food definitely some of the best marinated meats and Carne Asada in SLO 100% and the outdoor patio is a very comfortable an relaxing place to enjoy some good food

Chili peppers restaurant was absolutely wonderful!The staff was welcoming, cooked and served me the best mexican meal I have ever had. It was actually one of the best meal in my life. The portions were enormous, the salsas tasty and spicy as one would enjoy when trying food from Mexico. The service was exceptionnal and the decor was picturesque.I highly recommend this deliciously wonderful place. It would be a heartbreaking mistake to pass by San Luis Obispo and not try out this restaurant. It is truly incredible.I wish the owner and the staff all the best.

ItΓ’β¬β’s sad to see the state of this restaurant today. I totally understand though. Wages and the price of everything going up has hurt many restaurants recently. BUT the food is just as good as it was 8 years ago. The place just needs a good cleaning and an infusion of cash. I hope they can survive
